This is the Sonoma coastline along Highway 1 in Northern California. 

The Paris Metro has these wonderful entrances at some of their stations. This one is Abbesses station. 

This is Arches National Park, Utah, in the section of the Park called Park Avenue. 

Here's a picture of a couple of sea planes taken in the fog from the city pier in Tofino, British Columbia. 

And here's another picture from the same Tofino pier taken later in the day after the morning fog lifted. 

I really enjoy using all forms of Public Transportation. But my favorite would have to be the classic London Routemaster busses. There's something magical about entering through the rear vestibule... 

...climbing the circular staircase, grabbing a seat up front...

...and watching the City of London unfurl before your eyes. Unfortunately, these wonderful busses are headed for extinction, and are quickly being phased out. They are scheduled to disappear by the end of 2005.

This is North Head Lighthouse in Washington state, near the mouth of the Columbia River. It was a cold, windy day in January, and the sun came out long enough to take this photo. One of my favorites. 

City of Rocks State Park in southern New Mexico is a special place. It is a jumble of rocks and boulders eerily set in the open desert plain.  

This is Grande Rue, the narrow pedestrian street at Mont-St-Michel in France.This crowded, tourist path leads up to the wonderful Abbey of Mont-St-Michel. 

This is Fort Ross State Historical Park in Northern California. It is a re-creation of the southern most outpost of Russian America.
